The Data Centre at Pwani Research Centre (PRC) serves as the backbone of all research activities, ensuring that data is collected, stored, managed, and analysed with the highest standards of accuracy, security, and confidentiality. Our team oversees the complete data lifecycle—from study design and electronic data capture (EDC) setup to validation, cleaning, and statistical support—ensuring that every dataset meets international research and regulatory requirements.

Through advanced data management systems, robust quality assurance processes, and secure digital infrastructure, the Data Centre supports seamless collaboration among investigators, field teams, and partners. By providing reliable, high-quality data, the department enables PRC’s researchers to generate evidence that drives innovation, informs public health decisions, and improves health outcomes across Africa.

Community aims to increase clinical research and trial investments on the continent by drawing together local and sector partners to collectively develop clinical trial capacity and sustainably bring more trials to Africa.
