The Laboratory Department at Pwani Research Centre (PRC) serves as a core pillar of our clinical research operations, providing high-quality diagnostic, analytical, and biospecimen management services that support trials across multiple therapeutic areas. Our laboratory is equipped with modern technology and operates under strict quality assurance systems to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance with Good Clinical Laboratory Practice (GCLP) standards.
Our highly trained laboratory scientists play a critical role in processing, analysing, and storing biological samples collected during clinical studies. With expertise spanning microbiology, haematology, molecular testing, and advanced diagnostics, the team ensures that data generated from laboratory procedures is timely, precise, and valid for research use. Robust sample-tracking systems, secure storage facilities, and standardized operating procedures help maintain data integrity and participant safety throughout every stage of the research process.
