At Pwani Research Centre Laboratory (PRCL), we are committed to delivering high-quality, healthcare and conducting ethically sound clinical research that meets international standards. Our primary focus is the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and research of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) and clinical trials studies in the coastal region and East and Central Africa. We strive to generate reliable scientific evidence through well-regulated clinical trials while ensuring the rights, safety, and well-being of all research participants are respected and protected at all times. To maintain the highest standards in laboratory testing and participant care, the laboratory adheres to a robust quality framework. This ensures all research-related services are accurate, timely, reliable, and compliant with national and international standards of ISO 15189:2022 and GCLP guidelines.
